The first charts are being prepared
Family trees appear here once a family submits its vanshavali and consents to publication. Yours can be among the first - the downloadable template is the easiest way to start.
How to record your own vanshavali
- 1Interview your elders. Sit with the oldest people in the family and work through the family interview sheet - names, villages, gotra, karm, and the stories behind them.
- 2Fill the vanshavali CSV template - one row per person: name, father, years, village, gotra, biswa, karm, gaddi.
- 3Upload it on the contribute page - the CSV, a GEDCOM export, the interview sheet, or a scanned vanshavali book all work.
- 4A person reviews it, and the chart is published here with your family's consent.
Every chart here is compiled from a family's own records and published with its consent; names of living people appear only where the family chose to include them. Corrections and removals: Contact. New here? The gaddi and biswa guide explains the fields these charts use.
